How it works

Three steps, all in this browser tab. Close the tab and nothing is left anywhere else.

  1. Add a PDF

Rowtrove reads the text and its position on each page, and finds the tables, including ones without ruled lines.

  2. Check it against the page

Each table sits next to the original page. Adjust the region or columns, merge tables that continue, and edit any cell.

  3. Export

Download CSV for Excel, Google Sheets or your accounting tool. Values that could run as formulas are made safe.

Works with

  • PDFs created by software: bank exports, invoicing tools, reports, catalogues
  • Tables with or without ruled lines, across many pages
  • Files up to 20 MB and 100 pages

Not yet

  • Scanned pages and photos (no selectable text)
  • Password-protected PDFs
  • Word, Excel and image files

What people convert

Every business lays out its PDFs differently. Rowtrove handles common layouts, and when it gets something wrong you fix it in the same screen.

Invoices

Line items with long descriptions, a totals block under the table, and addresses that look like columns.

Draw the region around the line items to leave the rest out, and move column separators if a description spills over.

Price lists and catalogues

Dozens of pages, section headings between products, and codes like 00412 that must keep their zeros.

Every table in the file is listed, so you can tick the ones you need. The CSV keeps codes exactly as printed, zeros included.

Bank statements

Separate paid-out and paid-in columns, negative amounts, descriptions on two lines, and transactions that continue on the next page.

Amounts keep their signs exactly as printed. Rowtrove joins wrapped descriptions into one row and links tables that continue across pages, so you can merge them before export.

Any PDF table to CSV

Reports, schedules and exports where the table has no lines at all and the columns are only implied by spacing.

Choose comma or semicolon to match your spreadsheet’s language settings. Each table becomes its own CSV file.

Why your PDF stays on your device

Bank statements and invoices carry names, account numbers and amounts. Most online converters upload the file to their servers to process it. Rowtrove reads it in this browser tab instead. Your documents and their contents never leave your browser. There is no copy on a server to leak or to delete later.

Questions

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read by your browser on your device. Neither the document nor its contents are sent to Rowtrove or anyone else.

How accurate is the extraction?

It depends on the layout. Tables made by software with clear columns usually come out right, and cells Rowtrove is unsure about are marked. It can still split a column wrongly or miss a row, so check each table against the page before you export.

Why did Excel change my dates or numbers?

Excel converts values when it opens a CSV: it drops leading zeros (00412 becomes 412) and reads dates in your computer’s date order, so 02/01/2026 can become 1 February. The CSV itself holds the exact text. To keep it, import the file with Data › From Text/CSV and set those columns to Text.

Can I convert a scanned statement?

Not yet. A scan is a picture of the page with no text in it, and Rowtrove needs PDFs with selectable text. If you can select the words in your PDF viewer, Rowtrove can read them.
